A unique textured stripe, inspired by the traditional Saltillo Serapes blankets of Mexico, Bezique Review was one of Althea's favorite designs and the only one created for Liberty that contained the color grey. Originally printed in 1958 and revived for the Autumn/Winter 1985 Varuna Wool Collection, it is reinterpreted here in a smaller scale.

This collection celebrates the designs of Althea McNish, showcasing the Trinidadian designer’s unique eye for graphic, multi-layered prints in vividly tropical-infused shades. Hailing from Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, she moved to England in the 1950’s and subsequently revolutionized the world of post-war British textile design with her bold and beautiful prints – starting with her very first collection, created as a freelance commission for Liberty Fabrics in 1958. Recreated from Althea’s designs in the Liberty Archive the collection exhibits her vibrant florals and textural patterns in exciting new colorways.
