We Care Wednesday: Environmental League of Massachusetts

In January 2017 we launched our We Care Wednesday initiative. By donating 5% of our sales each Wednesday, we were able to raise thousands of dollars for Greater Boston non-profits. This kind of targeted weekly giving is just another way we can focus our community-based business on doing good in all the ways we can.

Supporting non-profits that continue doing the essential work needed in our communities is important to gather here and we think it's important to the people that shop, take classes, and spend time here. This June our We Care Wednesday recipient is: The Environmental League of Massachusetts. "The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) is committed to combating climate change and protecting our land, water, and public health. By creating diverse alliances and building the power of the environmental community, we use our collective influence to ensure Massachusetts is a leader in environmental and economic sustainability." In the face of the federal administration's decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement funding organizations that are working to combat climate change is even more important than ever before. Massachusetts has been a leader in climate responsibility and will continue to do so as a part of the Climate Alliance. The ELM has been advocating for responsible environmental policy since 1898. We are fortunate to have such a strong voice in our state.
