Abortion funds are community run and we are part of the ecosystem that expands access to abortion care. Abortion funds, like the EMA Fund play a more critical role than ever before by directly helping to cover the cost of care and offer logistical support to those who live in Massachusetts and those who travel to Massachusetts to receive care. Requests for abortion funding on the EMA Fund hotline remain at all-time highs. Funding abortion is a radical act of community care! *Since launching the We Care Wednesday initiative in January 2017 we have donated over $110K to a variety of nonprofits and mutual aid funds doing essential work in our community as well as other places. From the very local programs like Material Aid and Advocacy Program and EMA Fund to national programs like Habitat for Humanity. We select organizations that we feel represent not only our commitment to a better, more equitable world but also our desire to "do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
