You can't open a newspaper or turn on the news without learning about another effort to restrict abortion access in the US. And while bans failed in Nebraska and South Carolina the last week of April, access to mifepristone is still threatened in the courts. The National Network of Abortion Funds builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.
“TOGETHER, we are going to keep building our political power, keep disrupting, keep funding abortions, and keep shutting shit down until we get to true autonomy, justice, and liberation for all.” — Amanda Shakur, National Network of Abortion Funds Interim Organizing Director, at April 15, 2023 Women’s March Emergency Mobilization rally in Amarillo, Texas

*Since launching the We Care Wednesday initiative in January 2017 we have donated over $72,918 to a variety of nonprofits and mutual aid funds doing essential work in our community as well as other places. From the Mayor's Disaster Fund to BAGLY to Movement Voter Project and Found In Translation. We select organizations that we feel represent not only our commitment to a better, more equitable world but also our desire to "do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."
