Simply the Vest - 3 sessions

gather here Classes

Have you noticed everyone has been sporting vests lately? The perfect layering piece that will certainly become a staple this spring. Designed by our pal, Juliette Pécaut Designs, this vest is knit top down from the shoulders. The shoulders feature a provisional cast on which is then used to graft front and back together. The top is worked flat to the underarms and then joined in the round. The collar and armhole cuffs are picked up using a crochet slipped stitch and then knit in the round. Each cuff and hem features a tubular bind off for a professional finish. Jules suggests this vest is a great canvas for hand-dyed yarns, stripes, or using up scraps.

We highly recommend doing a gauge swatch before the first class! Really. If you aren't sure what this means or need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask one of our craft associates.
