Lichen Duster - 3 sessions

The versatile Lichen Duster can be worn as a lightweight coat, wrap dress, or robe - a true capsule wardrobe workhorse! Its shawl collar, princess seams, unique pockets, four skirt gores and hand-stitched facings make it a beautiful heirloom piece. Style it over dresses and jumpsuits, or jeans and tees. Use your own belt or wrap the included fabric belt around your waist, tucking in the ends, for a chic morning-to-evening dress. The Lichen can be made with a sweeping high-low hem or a straight hem.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

• Level:  Intermediate.  You know how to thread a machine, sew a straight line and wind a bobbin. This is NOT your first garment. The pattern will help you practice many skills, including shawl collar construction, princess seams, French seams, facings, and hand finishing.
  
• We provide:  The studio space, tracing paper, tools and expertise.
• You bring: a copy of the pattern (available in-store or online), fabric you love (yardage is based on your measurements, refer to pattern), and coordinating thread (there is top stitching so please bring a thread color you LOVE). Suitable fabrics include mid-weight cotton, yarn-dyed cotton, linen-cotton blends, linen-wool blends, cotton velvet, wool. Fabrics without stretch.
  
• Class length:  2.5 hours per session for a total of 7.5 hours. 

Sessions meet on Wednesday, November 3, 10, and 17. Get this done for Thanksgiving and get all the compliments!
