June Book Club

Knit Lit! Join us for a monthly community book club where we'll discuss a book and knit. Only requirement is that you read the book. The Knit Lit Book Club is hosted by our knitting friend, Barbara Elfman. The June book is The Immortalists.

Written by Chloe Benjamin, a self-professed obsessive knitter, who wrote a Quince & Co blog post about her relationship to knitting and writing and community." Through knitting, writing and reading, we appreciate and process the world around us anew, exercising a respect for source materials as we use them to build something fresh." The book is currently available at our local bookstores: Porter Square Books and Harvard Book Store.

Limited to 10 students (17 yrs of age or older); 50% enrollment required for class to meet. This event is free but we do require you register so we know how many seats to put in the "reading nook".

  • Level:  Intermediate (you are working on your own project and we won't let you fail but this event is mostly for talking about the book and a little bit about you knitting)
  • We provide: lively discussion, and great company
  • You bring: a copy of the book or your notes or whatever and your knitting/crochet/embroidery project. Maybe a beverage...
  • 2 hours

FREE!
