2019 Women's History Month: Meet Meghan

March is coming to a close and with it our last post featuring one of the newest members of team gather here, Meghan. We hope you'll seek out all of our team members in person and share your own enthusiasm for craft. Finding the intersections between what the community loves to make and what we are skilled at has always been one of the fun things about being a brick and mortar. Thank you so much for taking the time to read the 14 team interviews to celebrate Women's History Month and what makes this woman-owned business hum.

When did you start making things?
I've been making things for as long as I can remember! It all started with craft days in my aunt's kitchen and after that I was hooked!

What's your favorite thing to make?
Right now, my favorite thing to make is socks. But I'm working on knitting my first sweater, and I think that might take over as my new favorite.

What are you looking forward to the most about being a part of the gather here community?
As a new member of the gather here team, I'm looking forward to being constantly inspired to learn new crafts and start new projects. For the month or so that I've been working at the shop, my wheels have not stopped turning!

What's your favorite tool?
Hard to pick! But I do love pretty little scissors and snips.

What do you do when you aren't making things?
When I'm not making things, I have another job as a sign language interpreter. I also love reading, listening to podcasts, and cooking!
